The Convergence of Science and Technology
Exploring Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Biochemistry, Biology, and Biophysics
Thursday, May 30, 2024
University of Twente in Enschede
The meeting is free of charge for members of the NVBMB.
The fee for non-members is € 25,-.
As the production of data surpasses the capability for manual analysis, grasping the basic concepts of AI has become crucial. Researchers using AI can effectively interpret vast and complex datasets, revealing meaningful patterns. This symposium will help participants to enhance their skills in understanding complex biological systems, predicting molecular interactions, and modeling dynamic processes.
Confirmed speakers: Oliver Lieleg (TU München, Keynote), Sanne Abeln (UU, Keynote), Peter Bloem (VU), Maurice van Keulen (UT), Aalt Jan van Dijk (WUR), Francesca Grisoni (TUe).
Topics: AI and ML principles for (bio)chemistry, molecular biology, and biophysics; AI for identifying genomic alterations in cancer, AI for protein function prediction, AI for network generation, molecular machine learning for drug development, and more.
