The society organizes at least twice a year a symposium on a contemporary topic in
biochemistry and molecular biology. These symposia involve renowned (inter)national
speakers presenting the latest developments.
NVBMB spring symposium June 16 2010, TU Eindhoven
The theme of this year's spring symposium is "Molecular insights in protein interactions". The meeting is organized by the Luc Brunsveld, winner of the NVBMB prize 2009.
Interactions between proteins are the key molecular players in biological processes. Protein interactions constitute highly important targets in terms of understanding biology, for the design of new drugs, as targets in molecular imaging, and for tissue engineering. This year’s spring symposium of the NVBMB focuses on these protein interactions.
An attractive, mixed program of lectures will deal with a variety of aspects and approaches to get molecular insights in protein interactions. Key note speaker is Dr Carsten Schultz from the EMBL who will focus on how to manipulate and image molecular processes in the cell.
Participation is free of charge and includes lunch. Please register here.
Coming symposia of NVBMB or affiliated organizations:

35th FEBS congress "Molecules of Life"
Next years 35th FEBS symposium with the theme "Molecules of Life" will be organized in Gothenburg, Sweden from June 26-July 1, 2010.

OzBio2010 “Molecules of life: from discovery to biotechnology”
This premier international scientific meeting brings together the 12th IUBMB Conference, the 21st FAOBMB Conference and the ComBio2010 meeting and take place in Melbourne 26 September to 1 October 2010. The world’s top speakers in these areas will present their exciting new findings in major plenary sessions and in a wide array of more specialist.
